Nissan Juke
I was fortunate enough to be asked to shoot with Nissan Design Europe for a feature they were doing for International Women’s Day. We shot two of the female designers from their studio but I also got some time to shoot the new Juke too which we used for some shots around their London HQ.

IN DEPTH:
Using Reflections
“Reflections in the bodywork are often seen as a bad thing by photographers, but there are times when it works very well to enhance an image and accentuate a car’s design.”
It’s natural for photographers to want to remove distracting or unsightly reflections from car paintwork and of course for most commercial shoots manufacturers want to have clean lines on the car, but sometimes reflections actually help bring an image to life. This was the case for the shots of this Juke, where the reflections from the surrounding buildings projected dynamic white reflections onto the car bodywork. I could have got rid of them with multiple exposures on my circular polariser and use of my strobe, but they seemed to add something to the shots which I wanted to keep. It was a different style of shoot for me but I’m very pleased with the results.
